The Finest Stuff Sacks Available on the Planet

O/K, we admit it. For the most part we are lazy, but we also don't see the point of folding a glider after each and every flight. We love the idea of landing, rosetting our gear, and simply stuffing it in an oversized sack along with the rest of our gear, ready to pack off in about a minute. Once on launch it typically takes about a minute to be set up and ready to go again. There are probably hundreds of stuff sacks available worldwide. Personally we have a severe dislike for the big round tarp style, since they are far to awkward to use easily. The chincy flimsy fabric ones are equally worthless. After all with most of our gliders worth over $3000, does it make sense to protect your glider with fabric that is as flimsy as the glider?

At TowMeUp.com we decided we have the technology, and the equipment, so we started manufacturing our own custom stuff sacks. These are far from your ever present cheaply made sacks. We use only the finest materials to make our stuff sacks. We use a 100% UV resistant lightweight material, the same product used to make lightweight truckers tarps used daily to protect loads shipped over our nations freeways at speeds over 60 MPH. If that's not strong enough, we make a specific version from Ballistic Nylon. This provides the ultimate protection for those who want to use their stuff sack to protect their more expensive gear in airline transport.

Construction of our product is first rate. We sew all the seams with a double needle industrial sewing machine to provide the ultimate in longevity, using a 138 denier polyester thread wit a breaking strength of around 21 pounds per stitch. If that's not enough, we use a computerized pattern tacker to reinforce all the structural attachments in the bag. Our closing loop and lock is a 6mm cord with a cord lock that won't slide loose. Handles are sewn onto both ends of the bag to make it easier to handle your gear, and as a safety aid. Since we are often finding ourselves in extremely isolated locations, we've made our bag strong enough to be used as an extraction aid to help carry a potentially injured pilot to safety.

Costs

Our stuff sacks come in 2 versions.

Our lightest version is made from a lightweight truckers tarp material and is available in either Purple or Red. It does not come with cinch, and sells for $99.00 each.

Our Heavy duty version is made from 1050 denier Ballistic Nylon and includes compression strap buckles for those who want to thread a cord around the bag to cinch it tightly to your packed kit when utilizing commercial air transport. The cord isn't included, but we typically use the last 15 feet of our tree rescue kit cord and toss the bag inside the sack when we ship our gear on paragliding excursions. This version is only available in black, and sells for $119.00 each.
